After a crazy week last week the van is now 99.9% finished and all working nicely so far…pics to follow when Trev finishes hanging doors…
It was pretty crisp on the deck as the ferry pulled out of Poole harbour. Nice to be waved off by Annabel and Matt from Sandbanks – well played guys.
Matt and Annabel (tiny!) waving us off...
Sunrise over Sandbanks
Cathy repping the Irish!
Stop one was Mont Saint Michel, a short cycle from the cider press where we parked up at for the night. Impressive structure to say the least!
The first of many bike rides (my hair hasn't started growing back yet)
The following day we had a fairly long spin straight east to Paris with a brief stop at Versailles to check out ‘chez Louis’… it seems the dude liked his gold as well as funny looking trees. Pretty spectacular all the same.
This is how they keep the plebs out in France.
Louis' Veg Patch
Obligatory Plummer statue pose thingy (this one's for you Mez & Miranda!)
After surviving the Parisian rush hour (nothing compared to London I swear, they actually let you change lanes when you indicate!) we ditched the van south of Paris and headed to Chez Antonin and Claire… much more welcoming than Chez Louis to say the least! The following day we walked about 20k round Paris, yep, we crammed in a lot of sights.
Bassin de la Villette (Canal Saint Martin)
French feast under construction... thanks guys!!
Next stop Octoberfest!!
